Norman Wedding!!!

I had the priviledge of shooting my very first wedding a little over a week ago..it was everything I could have never prepared for! I didn't think it was possible to feel such emotions behind the camera as I did..there is something magical about capturing moments that are going to be remembered for a lifetime such as a Mother's hug, a Bride kissing her Father before walking down the aisle to her Husband to be, and the way a Groom looks as he is awaiting his Bride and spots her for the first time. I felt honored to have the Bride choose a song we listened to on the way to the ceremony (yep that's right..I even got the honor of toting the Bride with me in my car!!) for their first dance..talk about tearing up! I have realized that weddings can be alot of work but they are something I have fell in love with <3 The way the couple looked at each other had such a purity and depth that it could echo through silence if it had to. And I have to give honorable mention to the wedding party as well, I was forewarned that the guys would be a handful and they stood true to that..there was never a silent moment and they kept us laughing the whole time we worked! The girls were sweet and saucy all at the same time..for a first wedding this was definitely one of the best groups of a Wedding Party I could have the pleasure of working with! I chose the picture above as I have quickly realized I love to capture raw and true emotions and just be in the moment with the subject on the other side of the camera. Seeing the Bride get emotional made me realize how special it was to be a part of something so amazing as her wedding day!

Jenn B Mommy and Me

I spent the afternoon with Jenn and her boys last weekend, they are regular clients and I love to see how much they have grown and how their personalities are changing. The boys did soooo good and cooperated well helping us to get those cherished photos for Mom. I couldn't help but sneak a couple of Dad and the boys into the session as well, to me there is nothing better that you can capture than someone simply being in the moment. Rather that is running through the grass, a tear of happiness falling down a cheek, a pout after being told no, or a sweet and peaceful sleeping baby. Jenn has been a very avaid supporter of my work and reminds me that there is always others that believe in me even when I doubt myself! I look forward to capturing her Engagements in June

The O'Kelley's

Pam was one of the chosen winners of a free session for a deserving Mom but I have actually known her for a couple of years! Our boys played T-ball together when they were in kindergarten, I couldn't believe how much Connor had grown and how tall he had gotten, still just as cute as ever :) Pam was chosen based on an email about her recent weight loss and wanting a picture that she could be proud of,and also that she hadn't had family pictures in 9 yrs (way too long to wait!). Her email touched my heart and I am not only proud of her accomplishment but I hope that these are pictures she can take from this session and be very proud of. She is a beautiful woman inside and out and has a wonderful family!

Sweet Kingston :)

I had the chance to catch up with a handsome fella I worked with in the fall named Kingston..he has those beautiful blue eyes and an adventerous personality! His favorite word was run and I think he wore all of us out by the end of the session. I love having sessions like these were I can really capture just how much a child has grown and look forward to working with Kingston again as he grows!

Turner Family

I got to spend some time with the Turner family a couple weeks back and instantly fell in love with the tenderness and sweetness that Sharon and Dennis shared with one another. It is something that is rare in our world today and it was a breath of fresh air to hear them talk about their marriage together and to see the genuine compassion that they shared. Sharon has got to be one of the most mellow people I have met in my life, she has a gentle spirit and overall is just a sweet and happy woman. I think these boys were very blessed when they received these two as parents!

Bright Eyed Beauty

Paris found me through her sister who is a neighbor of mine, I was told before hand that she loved pictures and that was no lie! Paris came very well prepared with ideas that she liked in mind, was open to different ideas, and came up with amazing ones of her own. She is someone that I loved hearing opinions from and truly enjoyed working with. She also has these AMAZING eyes..and once I met Mom I found out where they were from ;) I look forward to the chance to work with her again in the future and enjoyed capturing prom for her!

Hot Pink Prom Queen

I met up with Jessica before prom to capture a little bit of everything for her..her dress was soooo pink and completely rocked with her beautiful glowing tan and amazingly bright eyes! She is such a sweet girl and I don't think she could have had a bad picture even if she tried!

Miss Madison

I had the pleasure of working with Madison C. last weekend as well..she is a beautiful and very poised young lady that has a beautiful future ahead of her. She took direction well and was up for any location as a background. After spending some time with her and talking to her Step Mom we decided that she will be our future model for test locations..she is such a sweetheart and I am delighted to continue to work with her in the future!

The Walkups

I got to meet up with the Walkups on Saturday morning to capture some sweet pictures of the new parents to be. Mom had the tinest little belly and was such a beautiful pregnant woman! Dad was a bit timid at first but quickly warmed up and we had a wonderful time together. I loved seeing their personalities interact through camera, they both have very shy laid back personalities and there was just a genuine grace to their pictures and will make for amazing parents for their little blessing when it arrives!
